Patrick Sheridan is one of the most celebrated soloists in his instrument’s history. He has performed more than 3,000 concerts in over 50 countries in venues ranging from the White House to NBA half-time shows to the Hollywood Bowl.
Internationally renowned saxophonist Douglas Masek is recognized as one of today’s foremost exponents of contemporary saxophone music. His performances, which have emphasized versatility in a wide range of musical styles, from classical and contemporary to jazz, have consistently garnered critical acclaim. The Los Angeles Times stated that Masek’s playing is “smooth, sinuous, stunning, stylish, dazzling, and glowing with the requisite rich color.”
JACQUELINE SHANNONJacqueline Shannon earned a Doctorate Degree from the University of Washington, her M. A. from the University of Montana, and her B. A. from Florida State University. Dr. Shannon is an adjunct faculty member and teaches music courses for the College of Extended and International Education as well as the Music Department at California State University Dominguez Hills. Jacqueline performs as a freelance musician in Southern California. This includes various orchestral, symphonic, brass and woodwind chamber groups. She also teaches private studio horn lessons in and around Los Angeles,
California.
Los Angeles-based musician and composer, Steven Mahpar enjoys a versatile career writing for film, television, and the concert stage. His scores for film follow his influences from former film music legends such as Alfred Newman, Jerry Goldsmith, and Miklos Rozsa. He received his Bachelor of Music in horn performance and a Master of Music in composition at California State University, Fullerton.
Shelly Suminski received her Bachelor of Music degree in Trombone Performance in May, 2007 from the University of Southern California, and her Masters of Fine Arts Degree, Multi-Focus Performance, from California Institute of the Arts in May, 2009. Her performance experience includes the following: Acaidana Symphony in LaFayette, Louisiana; Brevard Music Center Orchestra, Brevard, North Carolina;
American Youth Symphony, USC Contemporary Music Ensemble, University of Southern California Symphony Orchestra, Musical Theatre Los Angeles, Knox Brass Ensemble, New Millennium Brass Ensemble. Shelly has been a finalist at the Brevard Music Festival Concerto Competition (2003); and the winner of the Roert Marstellar Outstanding Brass Musician Award in 2007.

COURTNEY JONES
For three consecutive years, Courtney Jones has been a classical semi-finalist in the National Trumpet Competition held in Fairfax, Va. Now living in Los Angeles, Jones is continuing his post-graduate education at the University of California, while pursuing his Doctorate of Musical Arts in Trumpet Performance and Pedagogy at UCLA, where he is a Gluck Fellow. Jones also conducts the UCLA Symphonic Band and the UCLA Large Ensemble Jazz Band.
NICK KRAUS
Nick Kraus is an accomplished, in-demand percussionist of international praise. As a contemporary music performer, he held the post of principal percussionist with Chicago's Millennium Chamber Players, one of the Midwest's premiere purveyors of modern chamber works. As a composer and arranger Nick has had his works performed by the Lawrence Jazz Ensemble, the Charlie Christenson Nick Kraus Duo and the Salsa group Vale Todo, of which Nick is a founding member.
Marzena Nabours was trained as a classical pianist and bassoonist at Wroclaw Music Academy in Poland, where she graduated distinctively as a music major. She continued her education at the University Of Southern California, where she completed her Post Graduate Professional Music Diploma. For the past 15 years, Marzena has been teaching children (ages 5 and up) and currently holds studios in Culver City, Santa Monica and Pasadena, California. |
